STUDENT MAKEUP COMPETITION

11:30am – 1:30pm
Theme: Great Beauty Legends of Hollywood Filmdom

This Makeup Competition is about the “Great Beauty Legends of Hollywood” whose beautiful faces set the makeup fashions of yesteryear. Actresses like Mae West, Jean Harlow, Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich,
Gloria Swanson, Ginger Rogers, Joan Crawford, Betty Grable, Dorothy Lamour, Bette Davis, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe to name a few. Check your local library for these historical looks. Hollywood has been the center for glamour and beauty since its inception.

These great beauties and others like them created the makeup looks copied by Ms & Mrs. America. They set the makeup fashions in their day. What more exciting theme for the student (a makeup artist to be) than to recreate fashion history.
