Makeup for Fashion, Print & Editorial Photography
For Commercial and Media Fields
INTRODUCTION
This concentrated 6-week career program is intended for those individuals interested in an exciting makeup career in the field of fashion and photography. Throughout this course you are presented with time-tested methods and techniques in all elements of makeup: from basics to the advanced. This core makeup method for beauty and glamour is the “Westmore Method”. This method was created and used by legendary Marvin Westmore, as the KEY to planning, designing and creating an individual makeup for every face.
The market for Makeup Artists in the field of fashion and photography is wide, varied and constantly increasing. It includes all aspects of portrait and glamour photography, bridal portraiture, printwork for magazines, and ads for commercial and catalog layouts. It requires skills, knowledge, and imagination that will stretch a person beyond just being a fine salon makeup artist.
This course consists of a lecture/demonstration format and places heavy emphasis on hands-on education. You will be working with your fellow motivated learners as a team. You will experience both sides of the makeup chair. During the final week, your skills will be put to use in a realistic, working photo shoot to begin the development of your portfolio. You will work directly with a professional photographer and models. You will design and create your own natural and glamorous makeup looks to be shot in natural and studio lighting. This master course for Fashion, Print & Photography prepares you to be a successful, well rounded, thinking makeup artist in the highly competitive field of photography.
This course is available in day and evening scheduling formats.
